Kentucky Grace Black Labrador Retriever Mix Potomac, MD

Grace is your dream dog. She is that stoic, wise, soulful dog who loves her human so much she will stand still for party hats, tiaras, Santa photos and whatever craziness the human comes up with even though she secretly thinks it is ridiculous.

Maybe Grace is just extraordinarily grateful to be safe, warm and loved.

Grace was found limping around a neighborhood in Kentucky, scared, emaciated, anemic, and full of parasites. Local animal control was able to capture her and get her the medical attention she needed, including a hind limb amputation. Her leg had been injured long ago, was very painful, and she was unable to use it.

Grace made the tripod transition beautifully, gained weight, shed those parasites and became a healthy dog.

Today, Grace is a healthy, quiet, loving dog who is down for a snuggle anytime you ask. She does very well with other calm dogs and adores her foster family's children. She does love the mellow life and is looking for a home with snuggly humans, comfy beds (preferably strategically placed to capture the sunbeams) and the opportunity for some sniffing strolls.

Grace is part of our Silver Paws program and has had comprehensive bloodwork and a senior exam so her new family will be off to a great start. Silver Paws focuses on rescuing and promoting senior dogs and we are always happy talk about what makes adopting a senior so amazing.

Grace is spayed, up to date on vaccines and is heartworm negative.
