Intake Date:8/27
Available Date: 8/27
Intake Reason: Surrender
Approx Age: 2 yrs
Approx Weight: 68 lbs
Good w/ other dogs:
Good w/ cats: Not yet been tested
Housebroken: appears to be!
Other Info: Miss Kay Beans has quickly become a shelter favorite, and if you spend 2 minutes with her you'll see why! She has a wonderful, easygoing, and gentle personality and loves everyone she meets! She came to us as a stray when a kind person found her wandering the streets. We were able to track down her owners, but unfortunately they decided that they were not in a position to take her back and asked for us to find her a good home. Kay Beans then had ANOTHER stroke of bad luck...she tested positive for heart worm disease. Heart worm treatments are very painful and expensive, but we have made the decision to treat Kay because we think she deserves the chance to find love! She can be adopted any time but will need cage rest and limited activity for several months following her treatments, so she will need to be kept indoors. Please consider giving Kay Beans a forever home of her own and a happy ending to her sad story!
