A more fitting name for our sweet little Karma would have been Shadow...because that's what she is!

This pup is still learning that the world can be full of fun things, but she is getting more trusting evry day! Since being in foster care, she realized she loves walks, wrestling with her four legged friends, cuddling with kids (and adults), and following her humans wherever they go! Karma is looking for someone who wants a TRUE companion and can be patient at first to let her feel comfortable with things at her own pace.

She still barks at newcomers into her house, but if you're up for learning some new people tricks (or are a very experienced dog owner) this is a very redirectable trait. Karma has also been great with house-training. She has followed the lead of her pack members in foster care. She consistantly potties outside and has not been destructive of anything in the house. Her 6 and 7 year old humans have been the best part of her new start life and she has been tolerant of every hug, noise, and costume they have thrown her way! Karma is SO ready for her forever human

BEFORE CONSIDERING A PUPPY FOR ADOPTION: Please keep in mind that puppies need attention during the day. They need frequent potty breaks, playtime, socialization and often a mid day meal. Please consider your daytime schedule before applying for a puppy.

SPAY/NEUTER POLICY: Our adoption fee covers the puppies spay or neuter at our vet in Libertyville. If the puppy is adopted prior to the spay or neuter being done you will be required to bring the puppy back to our vet within 30 days for the surgery.

ADOPTION FEE: $425.00 The adoption fee includes all age appropriate vaccinations including rabies, HW test if age appropriate, de-worming, microchip, fecal, spay or neuter, Heartworm and flea and tick preventative.

ADOPTION PROCESS: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application online at www.placingpawsrescue.org.
Once we review the applications, those applicants that are thought to be a good match will be contacted as quickly as possibly. We ask that you please be patient with us as we are all volunteers. Then a telephone interview will take place, references checked and a home visit will be conducted. We will then arrange for you to meet the dog. We require that all family members, including current dogs meet the dog prior to adoption. We put all of the known information in the animals description. If the animal is listed on the website, we are still accepting applications for that animal. We only remove the animal when the final adoption paperwork is signed.
