Back in the 19th and 20th century in the United States, individuals of Irish decent with black hair and dark eyes were referred to as “Black Irish” and in recent times the most famous Irish actors who are considered “Black Irish” are Collin Ferrell and Pierce Bronson and if I do say so myself, I am just as famous. Hello, my name is Kane, and dark eyed, black hair lad. I was originally rescued by Waters Edge Great Dane Rescue (WEGDR) as a dump case and to no fault of my own I was returned to WEGDR but since being in my current foster family my life has been amazing. I have an amazing foster, Hooman!
I am nine years old and in good health. I am good with dogs, kids, but my current foster does not have cats so I don’t know how I would interact with them. However, since I am pretty laid back, I don’t believe I would be bothered by them. I am very mature, and have a wonderful disposition, I am crate trained, leashed trained, house broken, and I know basic commands. As well as full of love and affection. Overall, a GREAT LAD!
If you study Anthroponymy, the study of personal names, then you know that Kane originated in Ireland and means “little battler”. Therefore, I can be interpreted as a strong and courageous man who is always ready to fight for what he believes in and if you want a strong, handsome, Black Irish lad who will give you endless amount of love and devotion, then I am the “little battler” for you!
