"Kanao" was rescued from a puppy mill in Taiwan in December 2020.
She is a gentle, loving and sweet girl.

She has had the following veterinary care:

1. spayed
2. microchipped
3. blood panel
4. up to date on vaccinations
5. SNAP® 4Dx® D
6. Polymerase Chain Reaction PCR Test
7. X-rays to screen for hip issues and urinary tract stones
8. Dental cleaning

All of her medical exams showed no issues and so" Kanao "flew to Vancouver this February- 2021.



Unfortunately, she had her first seizure on March 3. Since then she has had two more seizures: May 10 and June 10. Her seizures do seem mild and stop after a couple minutes. She has been to the vet here in Vancouver for her seizures and at this time there is no medication required. However, her new adoptive family must have time to monitor her for seizure activity.



"Kanao" eats well, sleeps well and loves to play with her foster furry siblings. She is a bit unsure about the outside world and did not enjoy walks in the beginning. However, she does not need lot of exercise. If her family could take her for a short walk of about 30 minutes twice a day, that would be enough for her.

"Kanao" needs a family that doesn’t mind her epilepsy issue and is willing to provide her with a loving forever home.


We are looking for a home and family that meets the following requirements:

1. Must be experienced dog owners. We would prefer a family who has had experience with epileptic dogs but this is not required.

2. Financially able to deal with "Kanao"’s medical issue

3. Has a small fenced area or yard. "Kanao" prefers to do her business in an off-leash fenced area

4. Willing to provide healthy/high quality dog food

5. No children under 12 years old

6. Has another gentle doggy companion or her human can spend a lot of time with her

7. Preference to a family that works from home

8. Family must live in the Lower Mainland area. No exceptions.
