Meet Kamerad
Kamerad was set out on a cold night and knocked frantically at a door to get inside. Luckily the family knew one of our fosters. He's safe and warm now with a full tummy.
With a guesstimated birthday in May 2022, Kamerad weighed 47 lb at his vet visit in early Dec.
Kamerad is a sweet, enthusiastic puppy. He greeted the vet team at his exam with kisses and tail wags.
Kamerad can be destructive when left unsupervised. He doesn't like crating, but is learning to be content in order to stay in the house overnight.
Although he's leash-savvy, Kamerad will pull to get to exciting things - which is pretty much everything :) He likes to ride in a car and we recommend he be tethered in the back for safety. No need for a big boy in your lap as you drive!
**************************************************
Whether dogs / puppies come in as strays or owner surrenders, we make our best guess as to birthdate and breed.
If adopted into a home with other animals, particularly cats, your new pet should be crated or secured when you're not available to supervise to insure a harmonious relationship.
For adult dogs, our adoption fee covers a standard canine vaccine, a rabies vaccine, heartworm (HW) test, HW prevention, and deworming if recommended by our vet.
Puppies will have two vaccinations, deworming, and heartworm prevention if age-appropriate. An additional fee for the 3rd puppy vaccination and rabies vaccination, if administered, will be added to the adoption fee.
If you are adopting an intact dog, a refundable spay/neuter deposit is required, and a vet reference may be required.
Foster dogs are shown on a rotating schedule at our Saturday Adoption Events which occur several times a month at Waggin Tail Resale store located at 220 Joyceton Church Rd, Lenoir. Additionally, Meet & Greets can be scheduled with a specific dog on Saturdays (11am-3pm) in our Adoption Center at Waggin' Tail Resale. Additional times for Meet & Greets may be scheduled depending on the schedules of Adoption Counselors and Foster Parents.
Shelter Dogs can be seen at the Bunch Anderson Shelter on Saturdays from 12pm-3:30pm, or by appointment. To request an appointment, e-mail: info@foothillscaninerescue.org. We will respond within 24-48 hours M-F. (BAS is also located at 220 Joyceton Church Rd)
