Kaia’s story began by being pulled from the Euthanasia List at just 16 weeks old due to “biting”. (She was a puppy with sharp puppy teeth!) I saw her potential and decided to give her a chance at life. Training her and helping her become a loving family member. She is so smart and knows many commands.

Her intelligence as a Belgian Shepherd and Australian Shepherd mix is remarkable.
At 8 months old, she’s already spayed, up to date on her shots, and eager to learn more from anyone with a treat. Her eagerness to please and her kennel training show that she’s a well-adjusted and capable dog. She will likely grow to be a manageable 45lbs. Kaia’s journey is a testament to the power of empathy, training, and the transformative impact of a home rather than in a shelter.

Kaia would thrive in a home with a yard or land. She would make an amazing agility dog or a dog with a “job” as she loves challenges. But she’s also a complete snuggle bug.

*She’s been good around kids but gets excited if kids start running around and being loud. She’s still in the clumsy puppy stage and doesn’t know how big she is!
