Meet Kahu! -2 year old spayed female Anatolian Shepherd mix (Anatolian is just a guess!) -Weighs 74lbs -Came into the Shelter as a fearful stray but is now thriving in a foster home -Dog friendly and loves to play. Highly recommended to go to a home with a confident resident dog -Enjoys going for hikes and to the beach with her foster family -House trained and does well when left alone at home -No history with cats -In foster with dog savvy kids Now through December 23rd the Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter is hosting Home for the Holidays. This adoption event reduces the adoption fee for all cats, rabbits and dogs to $50. Please note: Our Santa Cruz locations Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end meet and greets (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If youd like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
