_________________________
My name is Juan Carlos. I am a 7.5yr old Lhasa Apso and I weigh about 28 pounds.
I recently lost my human family that I had lived with since I was about 8 weeks old and came to be with my friends at The Animal League. Upon arrival, they gave me lots and lots of love and attention, which I love! While here, I started to not feel well and not able to go potty. I was rushed to the vet and it was found that I had bladder stones and I had emergency surgery to remove them. I am all better now and am back to my ol’ self!
I would do best in a patient and quieter home, preferably with no small children. I would love a fenced yard that I can wander around in and take in all the fresh air.
So that I don’t make any more bladder stones and need surgery again, I am on special food that I will need to be on for the rest of my life. Good thing I really like my food! I will also need a diligent family that will take me to the doctor regularly and make sure that I am doing okay. I really don’t want surgery again, boy was that scary!
NOTE: we CANNOT email information about fees. View our GENERAL fees here (you will need to copy/paste into your browser): https://theanimalleague.org/adoption-fees/
All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, receive a registered microchip, and are up-to-date on their age-appropriate shots, vaccines, and preventative care. We also test for heartworm when they are old enough.
APPLICATION: https://theanimalleague.org/adoption-application/
Please visit https://theanimalleague.org/faqs/ for the answers to our most commonly asked questions such as, "what are your fees," "when can I visit," and "what is your adoption process."
