Meet Josie R The Sweetest Pup

Josie, is here for the people and the people are here for her! She has a peaceful presence, she isnt vying to be the center of attention but will soak in the love if she is. We estimate her age to about 2 years old and she has sweet puppy energy that is eager to learn and happy to experience all the things the world has to offer!
Given her age, treat-motivated nature, and eagerness to please, training Josie is going to be a fun and rewarding experience for you both. When we introduced Josie to other dogs we quickly saw she has a type, with her favorite dogs being the calm and aloof ones. It was so cute to watch her greet them so calmly, giving sweet little licks like kisses. An ideal canine sibling for Josie would be calm but playful. We could see a playful side to Josie and once she is home it will likely emerge in the sweetest way. The natural socialization of being a loved-house-dog will be all she needs to blossom into an even brighter little thing than she already is. get there.
Walking on a leash is new to Josie, and shes full of excitement about the possibility of an adventure. It really is the sweetest thing to see her light up when she is being loved on and welcomed onto the couch for snuggles. At home, Josie is a total lovebug, she gives lots of gentle kisses and takes treats with the softest mouth! She's curious about cats, showing interest but also keeping her distance if theyre not interested in her.
Josie would thrive in a home with a yard for running and playing, a calm, gentle dog, and would be a great companion for a family with kids. She just needs a loving family to see her! Josie is ready to bring joy, love, and plenty of kisses to her new home!

If you have any questions about Josie or would like us to test her for a specific setting or detail, please be in touch! We can make most anything happen to ensure she is the correct fit for you and your life!

Why adopt from Three Little Pitties?

The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog youve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it!

Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dogs needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be!

It doesnt stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks:

30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.)
A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week)
One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan
70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan
