Meet Jordy
Meet Jordy! He is just over a year old and weighs 70 lbs. He's mostly a German Shorthaired Pointer/Pittie mix and ready to find his forever family!
He was born into one of our foster homes when his momma first came to us. He was adopted 9 months ago but is coming back to us as his family's lifestyle experienced a dramatic change and his adoptive family is no longer able to meet his energy needs.
This handsome boy is doggy door trained! Since is he accustomed to a doggy door, he would likely need some help adjusting to life without one but he is a smart, young guy and should learn pretty quickly given the proper consistent training.
Jordy has done well with dogs of all sizes but he would thrive in a home with another dog that has energy and loves to play with other dogs! He would likely do great in a home with older children that can help him run off some energy regularly too. Since he is a happy, playful boy a home with very small children may not be the best fit simply because they could be easily knocked over. We're unsure how he may be with cat friends as he's never been exposed to them.
This boy is a happy, friendly guy and loves to snuggle up by you for a nap. Jordy loves ice cubed and is very treat motivated! He is a fast eater and does best with a slow feeder. He has a little squeak when he eats that is pretty cute too.
He's a working breed and needs outlets for his energy, like going for a long walk or run often, playing in the yard or with another dog, puzzles, etc. He would do best kenneled when his people are away with as he may find ways to entertain himself as many active, smart doggos do. Jordy is a sweet, active boy who just needs a person or family who can give him fun things to do and the love a rescue dog deserves to become an incredible furry family member!
