Jonas Redbone Coonhound Columbus, OH

Hi, I’m Jonas, a red and white, Redbone Coonhound mix. I’m 3 years old, weigh 62 pounds. I’m also house, crate, and leash trained. I am a perfect dog, if I may say so myself. I’m very kind and gentle, and I get along with everyone. I love children, other dogs, and even cats. I’m not food aggressive, and I’m very submissive. I’m also a great babysitter to other dogs.

I am very affectionate. I am a rare dog who loves hugs, actual hugs from my people. I give little yawns that are my way of saying “I love you” when I am being petted. Giving kisses and leaning against people are some of the many ways I show affection and give hugs back.

I enjoy going for rides in the car. I load myself into the vehicle and enjoy the scenery. I’m also very treat motivated, so I’m easy to train and please. I am being rehomed because I broke through the fence to play with the neighbors. It would be best if I can live in a home with a backyard and older kids (10 and up) that can play with me and get my energy out. Having another dog or a playful cat in the home would also be a bonus. I can also be calm. I spend my days watching the cows roam by in a neighboring field. They are beautiful and I spend a lot of time watching them. I also like to snuggle up on the couch and let you hold me like a baby. But I’m also a social guy that needs activity in my day.

I am up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative (treated in July 2024) and neutered. I am currently in Chapel Hill, TN but can be transported to other states for the right home. If you are interested in welcoming me home, please fill out an application today! I hope to hear from you soon.
