JOJO and his sister GIGI are new arrivals to the shelter in November, 2024. The duo are already spayed and neutered and have been vaccinated. They are listed as a mixture of Labrador and.Pit Bull. They are absolute darlings and were the sweetest friends during their intake process. They had been found in the county months ago as strays, and were kept in the finder’s home and put on a wait list by the sheriffs department until room was available for them to come in to the shelter. Yes, our county shelter. Is that busy, and the dog section is always overloaded. Now that they are there, the shelter staff hopes they will be quickly adopted. Because each one is already spayed or neutered, the one you adopt can go home with you the same day that you adopt it. So, serious adopters are encouraged to CALL the shelter to schedule an adoption appointment. Staff can explain the adoption procedures and fees when you call. The shelter does require EXACT change in the form of cash or a check. The shelter is UNABLE to accept credit or debit. So, please go prepared! That includes taking your own dog crate with you to the shelter in your vehicle. No animal should be allowed to run freely in any vehicle. Especially an animal that you have just adopted! Safety first! And if you do not have a dog crate, at least remember to take a dog collar and leash with you to that appointment in case you do decide to adopt one of these dogs or any other that has already been spayed or neutered. It is the responsible thing to do. And take someone with you to manage the dog in the car so that your hands are free to focus on driving home from the shelter.
