And now, a few words from me:
My name is Joe. I spent the first couple years of my life in a noisy, dirty puppy milll. I was in small cage and never received any love. One day, a lady came and opened my cage and lifted me out. She was very nice, and smelled great! I was put on the grass - and allowed to walk around! All the smells and fresh air made me so happy!! After a long drive I entered my foster home with the nice lady. She kept saying things like "Where's the ball", or "Want to go for a walk?" crazy lady I had no idea what she wanted from me! She does however, have these great little round, bright green things that roll everywhere - I love to chase them, OH and when she goes to the front door and pulls out that long thing and clips it to my collar I get very excited because it means it's time to go for an adventure!!
And now, a few words from my foster mom:
Joe was one of the dogs seized from an illegal, cruel, commercial breeding facility. This was the largest Puppy Mill seizure in Canadian history and over 600 dogs are now safe. He has proven to be a perfect gentleman in my home. He holds no grudges about his terrible past and is a happy, balanced, sweet dog. He gets along great with my cats and loves the company of other dogs, he is polite with other dogs and doesn't bother them, but will play if it's initiated. He has been around all sorts of people and takes well to everyone. He walks beautifully on a leash, and is content in his crate. He is a quiet dog, not a barker at all. He is playful and enjoys a good game of fetch, but he doesn't require a very active life style. 2 walks a day and some time in the backyard and he is ready to curl up on the floor at your feet. Anyone who is lucky enough to adopt this boy will have a loyal, happy companion who will add joy to their life everyday!
