Meet Jimi!!
15 weeks old. Appears to be shepherd mix. He is a very big puppy and will likely be a larger dog.
Has been dewormed, given several sets of vaccines, a microchip and are already neutered.
When Jimi arrived he was very shy and scared. Now starting to learn and build up confidence. Puppy will also likely have a lot of energy once settled and comfortable. Not fully potty trained yet but learning. Pup is still in the puppy chewing stage and will get a hold of things that are left out if you do not watch them or provide them enough, bones and toys.
JIMI- Male- 22 pounds- Great with other dogs, unknown on cats. Great with kids (will jump on kids at times and nibble on hands) Crate trained and did well on the car ride. Not yet leash trained. Learns quickly and takes correction well. No issues sharing food treats or toys with humans or other dogs however he hoards his food as if he went without in the past. Medium to high energy level already. Will need lots of exercise daily. Will pee from excitement at times. His foster said “ He is the BEST! He will sit at your feet or lay down for belly scratches already and wants to just be loved. He’s learning fetch and loves tennis balls. He’s gentle with the kids and simply wants to be loved on.”
Adopting a young puppy is a ton of work. They will have lots of potty accidents, chew things up etc. You will need to help them learn things like leash walking, crate training and basic manners. It can be a lot of work but the reward is a dog that fits well into your families lifestyle if you invest proper time on training with them. Please carefully consider the time and effort a puppy requires before adopting.
Vet and home checks required.
Located in Hampton VA.
(He will need to be adopted within a 1 hour drive radius)
