Jilly Bean Labrador Retriever & Australian Cattle Dog / Blue Heeler Mix Star, ID

Say hello to Jilly Bean! She was being called Jill, but she quickly became Jilly Bean when she stepped into the Green Heart world ? She joined our rescue in 2022, over Memorial Weekend. We are hoping 2024 is the year she finally gets adopted!!!

Jilly Bean is originally from Texas, saved from an overcrowded shelter.

She has needed time to adjust, mostly due to insecurity related to blindness.

Routine has been working very well for her. She is now feeling more comfortable to explore, but still needs time to gain full confidence to help her be completely happy.

She’s currently in a foster home but the sooner we can find an adopter for her, the better for our very deserving Jilly Bean.

Due to her insecurities from lack of sight, Jilly Bean needs a home where she has plenty of room to navigate without having other dogs invading her space. Although she does well with all dogs, she doesn’t appreciate little dogs that tend to be vocal if she bumps into them.

Jilly Bean deserves all that is beautiful and peaceful. We will make sure that’s all she experiences while she is with us, but she is available for adoption for the right human. ?

We think Jilly Bean is at least 10 years old & is a yellow lab/heeler mix. She is slowly but surely starting to accept being walked on a leash and is a very quiet & calm lady. Unfortunately, due to her being blind, we have to be very strict about a family with children, ie they’ll need to be very sensitive towards her special needs and not surprise her.
