Meet JESSIE (Spayed!)

JESSIE is the best of all things. She is still a puppy! If you haven’t had a puppy licking your face, breathing in your ear and climbing all over you in the last few years, you do not know what you are missing! And with a face like this girl has that would look at you adoringly, why would you want to pass it up? She arrived at the shelter in mid-July 2024 with an estimated birthdate somewhere around the beginning of May of this year. She already knows how to use the camera in her face to make you fall in love with her. Staff originally listed her as a Boxer mix, but that has now changed thanks to a DNA test done by the family that initially adopted her. She was returned in mid October 2024. She is spayed, and that means that she can go home with you the same day that she is adopted. She now responds to the commands “sit,” and “down, “ and apparently she sits by the door to let you know when she needs to go outside to take care of business. However, you still will need to make sure that she receives appropriate, professional training to make her the best companion and neighbor that she can be. And if you can do that for her, both of you will be very, very happy together! Serious adopters are encouraged to CALL the shelter to schedule an adoption appointment. Staff can explain the adoption procedures and fees when you call. The shelter does require EXACT change in the form of cash or a check. The shelter is UNABLE to accept credit or debit. So, please go prepared! That includes taking your own dog collar and leash with you to the appointment. Even better, take a dog crate with you to that appointment to safely transport her home after the adoption process is complete. No animal should be allowed to run freely in any vehicle. Especially an animal that you have just adopted! Safety first!
