Jessie Feist & Fox Terrier Mix Cody, WY

"Jessie" is a 5 yr. old Fox Terrier/Australian Shepherd mix who needs to find a new home. Her elderly owner (who lived out of town on a large property) passed away and her elderly brother inherited "Jessie" and moved her to town and into a small yard where "Jessie" was very unhappy. She barked and would jump the fence because she was bored, confined and wanted to be with her people! The neighbors complained and he received tickets and finally agreed that "Jessie" needed more than he could provide.

We had "Jessie" spayed, brought current on vaccinations and microchipped. She went into foster care in what we thought was the perfect home out in the country where she could go with her new family, but she became overy protective of the husband as well as the property. She also exhibited extreme separation anxiety if they left her behind.

"Jessie" is a typical "terrier" and typical "aussie" in that she is very guarding, nips and can appear vicious when she thinks she is doing her job. She is on "high alert" when she thinks she is "working" and only a strong handler will be able to discipline her properly. This will require some work and patience. All this poor girl needs is some stability in her life and some love!
