Jersey is an owner surrender. He was born on 6/10/2023. Originally, we helped his family vet and neuter him, so they could keep him instead of rehoming him. However, his family is moving and can no longer care for him, so we have committed to finding him the perfect forever home!

Jersey is a super sweet boy. He is happy and wiggly. He can be a little shy at first but warms up quickly and loves everyone! He is great with other dogs and has lived with cats and kids over 8yrs old. He loves playing with other dogs in doggy daycare when he goes to work with his foster mom. He would do best in a home with another dog or dogs that can show him the ropes when he gets to her new home. Jersey does well in his crate and doesn't have accidents. Sometimes it might take him a minute to settle down, especially if he thinks something interesting is going on and he's not invited to participate. He might need a little encouragement to "kennel" but if you toss a treat in, he will happily follow direction. Jersey is doing well transitioning into a house dog. He was rarely inside prior to coming into the rescue. He is still figuring it out, so he will need someone who doesn't mind a pup on the couch, or on the coffee table. He's figured out the couch and is a huge fan (as you can see in his pictures!) He needs someone that will work with him on his doggy manners. He is not leash trained; therefore, Jersey requires a secure fence to keep him safe.

Jersey is up to date on vaccines, tested negative for heartworms, is on heartworm and flea/tick prevention, is neutered and microchipped.

Jersey's adoption fee is $475.

The adoption fee is our main source of funding and is used for vetting and transport expenses. Transport is INCLUDED in the adoption fee. There are no additional fees.
