Meet Jenny
Hi! My name is Jenny and I arrived to OPH on 9/6/24. Im a mixed (love, sweet, a mostly beautiful) breed dog. I am about 3 years old and weigh about 43 lbs.
I've already had a tough journey. Teen mom, scars and starved for human love. I'm still a bit underweight.... my foster mom is helping me get my girlie figure back.
So far, I can't get enough love, rubs & snuggles. I adore my human foster brother.... we fit perfectly in the chair together, where I like to snuggle and learn all about gaming & reading books.
Did I mention how much I love a soft couch, chair or fluffy blanket to lay on??
I'm very curious about everything. I love to chase the rabbits & squirrels in the yard.... .... just can't catch them! I also like chasing cats..... I really want to get them. We recommend Jenny go to a NO cats household.
Im doing well on the leash in the back yard.... my sad face has really brightened and I'm really excited to learn all the fun new stuff about being a spoiled house pup.
I can't wait to get to my forever home! Is that with you? Apply to adopt me today! This cuteness wont be available for long!
This dog tested positive for heartworm disease before arriving to the rescue. The disease was treated while in foster care. Heartworm disease is transmitted to a dog through a bite from an infected mosquito. With monthly preventatives, the disease is completely preventable. Operation Paws for Homes, Inc. (OPH) rescues dogs and cats of all breeds and ages from high-kill shelters in NC, VA, MD, and SC, reducing the numbers being euthanized. With limited resources, the shelters are forced to put down 50-90% of the animals that come in the front door. OPH provides pet adoption services to families located in VA, DC, MD, PA and neighboring states. OPH is a 501(c)(3) organization and is 100% donor funded. OPH does not operate a shelter or have a physical location. We rely on foster families who open their homes to give love and attention to each pet before finding a forever home. All adult dogs, cats, and kittens are altered prior to adoption. Puppies too young to be altered at the time of adoption must be brought to our partner vet in Ashland, VA for spay or neuter paid for by Operation Paws for Homes by 6 months of age. Adopters may choose to have the procedure done at their own vet before 6 months of age and be reimbursed the amount that the rescue would pay our partner vet in Ashland.
