And now a few words from me:

Hi, I'm Jeanie and this is my story.  I came from a puppy mill in the U.S. that was not a very nice place.  Thanks to Loyal Rescue Inc. I am now free from that place and loving my new life Canada and live it to the fullest each and every day! I guess you could say that I have a new leash on life these days. I spent several days on transport getting to my new foster home in Canada.  Wow! what an amazing journey it was to get here by an amazing bunch of rescue volunteers, they are my Angels on earth and I haven't looked back. I never knew what unconditional love was  before now and I'm LOVING it!!  My foster dad affectionately calls me his little wiggle bum!  My new 'pet name' is Lady bum bum!!  and everyone I meet instantly falls in love with me!  I'm easy going and easy to please.  I love pretty much everyone...dogs, cats and children.  I can still tend to be a little nervous at times,  so a home with older children 12 and over would be best for me.    The only most perfect thing missing in my life now is my forever home and family.  I know my forever home is out there somewhere just waiting to discover little ol' me!  Are you the family that I've been searching for all my life?

And now a few words from my foster mom:

Jeanie is the most sweetest and loving little wiggle bum you could ever meet!  Jeanie would make an awesome lap dog for anyone who would love the companionship of a sweet, friendly, loving little dog.  She just loves to be with us!  Jeanie would do well in either an apartment or house.  Because of Jeanie's tendency to still be a little nervous, she has the potential to be a flight risk, so a home with a fully fenced and secured yard is a must for little Jeanie.  Jeanie is a quiet dog for the most part.  She is still learning to house train and doing very well with that, but will still have the occasional accident inside.  She will sometimes let us know that she has to 'go' by trying to get our attention.  She is very good at holding it all night long and will go out in the morning to do her business.  Jeanie is also pee pad trained.  We usually put Jeanie in a crate when we go out, so this is the only time she may bark in protest, but not always.  Once she realizes that we aren't going to give in to her barking,  she settles.   Initially when Jeanie arrived, she did sleep in a crate at night without issue.  Lately, we have been allowing her sleep with us; she's just so irresistible and very easy to love and care for. She loves to burrow and snuggle under the covers.   Recently we took Jeanie to an indoor small dog playgroup and she really blossomed!  I've never seen a dog (just out of a mill weeks earlier) work a room with such confidence and determination the way she did!  She literally went from person to person seeking out their affection and pats...and asking for people to pick her up, which many happily did!  She loved it!  I couldn't believe my eyes.  Everyone fell in love with our little Jeanie, no surprise there, who could resist all that sweetness!?  When Jeanie first arrived in rescue, she had crystals in her urine, so she is currently on a special diet to help with that.  Her last urinalysis was negative for crystals.  Jeanie is fully vetted and up to date with her shots and is spayed. Jeanie's recent bout with crystals in her urine gives us reason to believe that she may be prone to this for the rest of her life.  Jeanie may also have allergies, so special diet is recommended.  Jeanie is currently on a raw food diet to help with both.  We are monitoring her progress with this.

Jeanie is excited for her future now and dreams of a family to call her own.  Do you dream of a Jeanie in your future?
