Meet Jax
Through no fault of his own, Jax has had several homes in his young life. His original adopter developed a debilitating disease and was forced to rehome him due to her inability to care for him. The family who he was re-homed to, basically took him because they were trying to help the original owner. His new owners gave Jax a good home for a couple years, but now they also have some health issues that prevent them from giving him needed care.
Jax currently lives with a 12 year old child, a boxer, and several cats, as well as a family member in a power wheelchair.
He is not a "escape artist" beagle. He usually stays inside the house, uncrated. He has shown no interest in climbing out of or digging out of his fenced yard. But, of course if the gate were left open, he would likely follow his nose around town. Jax enjoys his walks and does great on a leash. Typical to his breed, he can be somewhat vocal at times.
Jax is very cooperative with all grooming. He also likes to ride in the family pick up truck. This boy is doggy door trained, as well.
