Hi there, I’m Jasper! If you’re looking for a loyal sidekick, I might just be the perfect match for you.

I’m working on my kennel training and have gotten pretty good at it. I’m also housebroken, so no need to worry about any accidents. My leash manners are coming along nicely, though I can get a bit nervous when passing people or other dogs. But with a tasty treat and no pressure to meet them, I'm learning there's nothing to worry about. Walking with a resident dog also helps me feel more comfortable.

I know some basic commands like “sit,” “down,” and “leave it,” which I’m happy to show off. I get along well with other dogs after slow introductions and love playing with them once we’ve had a chance to get to know each other. I would prefer a home without cats because of my desire to chase them - it’s just not a good look for me. My current foster home has cats, so I’m hoping to find a new place where I can feel more at ease. Tiny humans are fast and scary so I think I'd prefer a home with older children who are calmer and understand how to respect my boundaries.

New situations can make me a bit nervous, but I’m working on building my confidence every day. I thrive in the company of other dogs, so I’d do best in a home with a confident canine buddy who can show me the ropes and help me feel secure but that will let me have a slow introduction to my new canine sibling. I would prefer a home with older children who aren't so fast moving and unpredictable that will respect my boundaries.
