Meet Jasmine
DOB: 11/1/2021
Weight: 28#
She is vaccinated, dewormed, defleaed, spayed, microchipped with lifetime registration to the rescue, heartworm negative and on monthly prevention.
Jasmine was living on the streets in a bad part of town. She would run up to people in the apt complexes asking for help and most would ignore her, yell at her, and throw things at her. She finally asked the right person for help and they advocated to get her out of that situation.
She was very anemic with a heavy intestinal worm load and infested with fleas. But she's all healthy now. She is so smart and eager to please. She's funny and will zoom around and fling her toys and finds joy in just getting to be an inside dog. She's great in the crate and doing well in the house. She's good in the car.
She's doing well walking on leash and exudes a confidence now that she didn't have before. She loves saying hi and getting pets by neighbors on our walks.
She is very interested in trying to get squirrels. So, she might not do well with cats. Once she's had some zoomies and playtime, she's ready for snuggles and would love a comfy sofa and a person to watch tv with and snuggle next to. If you lead an active lifestyle, she's also up for that. I think that she's pretty well rounded and tempered to fit into many different home settings and a good size, not big and not tiny.
Due to her living on the street and fending for herself against larger strays, she is wary of dogs larger than herself. So, she would be best with dogs under 30#. She's great with all of the little fosters.
She is a super happy girl ready to live her best life!

After the application is processed and approved, a home visit and meet and greet with the dogs will be scheduled. If there are any fencing issues, make sure that repairs are done prior to the home visit. Typically, the adoption is finalized the day after the home visit and meet and greet. Out of area adopters would need to drive/fly in to meet the dogs and adopt.
