Meet JAS
Jas is a two-year-old, 10-pound Chihuahua mix with a gentle but timid spirit. She is still learning to trust and tends to freeze when faced with new situations. While we don’t know what past experiences have shaped her cautious nature, we have seen her begin to relax when given patience and understanding. Jas will need time to feel safe, but for the right adopter, the journey of earning her trust will be incredibly rewarding.
Jas met another small dog and seemed comforted by his presence, showing a little less anxiety when he was nearby. A home with a calm, confident dog may help her come out of her shell. She would do best with a patient family, willing to give her the time and space she needs to decompress and warm up at her own pace.
Her $225 adoption fee includes spaying, vaccinations, microchipping, and a wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital. To meet Jas, call 602-971-1334 to schedule an appointment during adoption hours: Thursday through Saturday, 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.
