This lovely lady is Janie, a German Shepherd mix gal who is about 5 years old and 38 pounds.

Her foster mom shares "Janie (known here as Janie Beans) is one very special gal. She came to us from her previous owner, after having her for three years, that was a surrendering situation out of their control. Since arriving, she’s made turnaround, learning to trust and adjust to having three other resident dogs in the house.

She is the epitome of a best friend 'furever' and will very soon become your Velcro dog with some snuggles. She loves to run, loves to hike, loves to go on long walk..but most importantly…loves her humans. Janie will always let you know when she needs more pets with a not-so-subtle nose nudge. She is very well trained and knows sit, stay, come and down perfectly. She loves all toys and treats and is definitely treat motivated which makes training her easier. She loves going for car rides and has a bucket seat for traveling that makes her feel comfortable and gives her a great view.

Her one and only flaw is barking at strangers, but has become much better with daily socialization, reassurance, daily exercise, and keeping her focused, accompanied by treats with progress. Anyone who continues the training we are working on will definitely see improvement in this behavior.

Janie would do best in a home that has a big yard for her to run around in. She does have a high prey drive, so a home with cats or other small animals wouldn’t be best for Janie. She is a complete angel in the home, never getting into anything other than her toys. She is very smart and loves to do puzzle toys.

She’s a love - super affectionate, happy, athletic and even a little quirky in the best way!! And of course beautiful (but you can see that for yourself:). And she will be a wonderful addition to your loving home!

All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.
