Tiny Paws Jackie is an adorable 4-5 year old wire/smooth coat Jack Russell terrier who loves to be near your side. Jackie loves nothing more than to snooze on the couch all day and follow you all around. Jackie is a very smart girl and picks up on new tasks quickly. She gets along well with large and small dogs with proper introductions. She ignores her bulldog and pit-bull foster sisters. Jackie is overly curious about the cat, she likes to know what she’s doing and where she is at at all the times. Jackie would be ideal in a home with another dog with no cats or a cat who is very tolerant of having a constant shadow. Jackie loves her 9 year old human foster sister and looks for her daily to get her pets and belly rubs. Jackie is a little older and would ideally be in a home with kids >8 years old or those who can respect her lack of playing and rough housing. Jackie is very timid in new situations and does not like thunderstorms. She will try to hide out under a bed until the storms pass.
Jackie’s ideal home would be a home that has someone home most of the time, either working or retired. Jackie is really a companion dog and would love to be by your side as much as possible. She does sleep in bed all night and sleeps most of the day away on the couch. Jackie does not play with toys but does enjoy bones as a treat. She also enjoys her dog bed on the couch and in bed, that’s where she camps out most of the day!
Jackie is learning that the crate is a safe place although it still causes heightened anxiety. When we leave the house she is left out of a crate and is not destructive. Jackie is also almost fully potty trained except the occasional accident (
