Inish is a 6-year-old female Great Dane with a silky soft merle coat and a loyal personality. She is living with a young family, fostered in Gulf Breeze, Florida with another female great Dane, a male great dane, and young children.

Inish loves her people and would love to be with someone who is home a lot, she's a people person. When her foster family is away, Inish is left uncrated and does well just relaxing on a dog bed until her family returns. Inish can be a little anxious and stare at the door and whine upon leaving. With daily routines she has quickly adapted and understands that her family will be returning to her.

Inish enjoys having other canine companions in the house. She can be very playful and loves to zoom around the backyard and is very animated with her paws! Sun bathing is one of her favorite things to do and she genuinely loves just laying back and watching her people.

Inish is still putting on weight, she entered the rescue very underweight and this has caused her to be a bit food possessive and protective around the other dogs at times. This has been controlled by feeding her separately and picking up food bowls after all dogs in the home are done eating. We also make sure that there is no human food left out, she does not counter surf but can be possessive when it comes to food that she finds.

Although Inish is currently in a home with young children, she would be best suited in a home with older children (12+) and adults. Inish has no issues with new people coming into the home, however she can be scared/timid of younger children and would do best in a home with routine and Dane savvy parents.

Inish learns quickly and is very responsive when told commands. She will continue to learn from another well behaved dog In the home, showing her the ropes!

Inish loves going on walks! She loves to explore and gets so excited when she sees a leash being grabbed. Currently, Inish is walked using a gentle leader to slow down her enthusiastic pace. She behaves very well otherwise during her walks, does not bark or pay any mind to other dogs or humans that she passes.
