Meet Ike!
This handsome fellow is on the lookout for his forever home. Ike is a 3-year-old, brindle, male greyhound.

He is newly retired and learning the ropes of being a pet. Over the past few weeks, he’s made great strides and can’t wait to show off for his new family! Ike loves squeaky toys and enjoys going for walks, but he’s also discovering the joys of snuggling.

He’s well-behaved overall, but he is a young, energetic guy. He is currently working on a couple of minor habits—like keeping his paws off the counter and drinking without splashing water everywhere—but with a little guidance, he’s sure to master house manners in no time!

Ike currently lives with two greyhounds and adult humans in his foster home. He is requires a home without cats or small dogs. Based on his personality, we think he would do well with older, respectful children.

This dog is being fostered in the Des Moines Area. We do not ship dogs. Adopters must be committed to meeting the dog in the area it is being fostered.

The adoption fee for HGA is $300.00. This fee pays for medical costs including spay/neuter surgery, shots, parasite treatments, teeth cleaning, microchip and microchip registration fee. Each dog also comes with a special sighthound collar and leash set and muzzle. There is a $30 non-refundable application fee.
