6/13/24-Hello Iggy here ! I’ve had such a busy week. Yesterday my foster mom took me to Petsmart then we went to the park and ate Parkside. There was a school field trip at the park, so I got to be adored my many kids and their parents. Today got to go to work with mom and her yorkies. I was such a good boy. Then we took the yorks to the groomer and I went back to work with mom. I am a little guy 6 pounds, easy to carry! Mom says my only issue is that I get scared when someone reaches for me from above, but I never bite or snap, I just backup(i hear many little dogs do this! Lol). Once picked up I snuggle in. I use the stairs to get on and off the bed and sleep snuggled up to foster mom.

6/4/24-Iggy Pop is doing amazing( lil guy big ears). He gets on and off the "mom crate' on his own. He follows his foster sisters everywhere. Runs in and out of the house with the rest of the crew. Gets alone with the resident cats. He is doing better with letting me reach for him. He still is weary but he tolerates it for the reward he gets. If you’re a Yorkie lover here is your man.

5/29/24-Iggy loves other animals but would be fine as an only dog. He loves to be outside and doing very well with potty training . He is potty pad trained. He still gets scared with the act of getting picked up (no snapping or biting though) but is realizing that I’m not hurting him so he tolerates it. There is praise and positive reinforcements so he is getting better daily. When he first came he was sleeping in a pen but he now sleeps in bed with the rest of us. He uses the stairs to get off the bed but haven’t quite got the hang of getting on. As you can see from the pictures he is small, only 6 lbs. Total snuggle bug & loves to nuzzle into your chest or arm once you put him on your lap!

5/27/24-Iggy Pop doing great on potty training. He follows the dogs outside and runs back in with them. Iggy loves to snuggle and sleep with you – He is terrified though when you first pick him up. He must have been treated roughly when the breeders picked him up. He has only been with us for a week so we are expecting as he feels safer he will relax more.

5/24/24-IGGY POP has been with us a week now. He is such a good boy. Loves to cuddle. He gets anxious when you reach for him but that’s typical of dogs with his background. He is learning so much from the resident Yorkies. He is working on doing steps and went down 3 steps tonight for the first time. Iggy is just 6lbs and would do best in a house without small children.

5/18/24-Iggy is sweet but still terrified to move. He lets you pet him and do anything to him but he is scared. Tomorrow he is meeting my girls. I had gone to pick him up after work but we decided to give him one more day at my sister’s house. I bathed him and he shows an interest in knowing where we are.

5/17/24-I picked up Iggy Pop today and right now he’s a reserved little guy. Loves his head being rubbed. Tomorrow I’m going to work on his flaky skin with a nice bath & good food.

05/17/24-Iggy Pop is a 7 year old male tiny 6 lb Yorkshire Terrier He arrived tonight thanks to his transport volunteers. He came from a commercial breeder’s farm as they were just done breeding him. He was neutered & had a teeth cleaning plus 11 extractions! Poor guy should be feeling better soon. He will be ready to be matched to his new home soon once we get to know him a little bit.
