Meet Hugo, a brave and resilient survivor with a heart full of love. Found in rough shape—missing 90% of his fur, covered in fleas, and battling infection—Hugo’s spirit remained unbroken. Despite his past hardships, he continues to wag his tail and share his gentle, loving nature with those around him.

Though he moves a little slower these days, Hugo still enjoys the occasional playful "run" around the house, chasing his foster siblings or joining in on the fun. His favorite activities include snuggling up on his soft bed and receiving affection from his loved ones. Hugo has lost most of his hearing, but he responds well to loud sounds and follows hand signals when he sees them.

Hugo is kennel trained, potty trained, and does well with dogs and likely cats. Due to his age, he has intermittent incontinence, so he wears a belly band to manage it. Despite these small challenges, Hugo’s affectionate personality and resilient spirit shine through. He is ready to find a forever home where he can thrive, snuggle, and continue to share his boundless love.
