Huey Pit Bull Terrier York, PA

Huey joined our rescue a few weeks ago off the PG county urgent list. He's a sweet, sensitive boy, who needs stability and a patient family in his life. He gets a little over excited when there's change (new place or meeting new people), but he is so sweet and eager to please and very food motivated. He is curious about other dogs on walks, but shows no reactivity and is very easily redirected. Once he knows you've got tasty treats with you (and really any treat will do, but he especially loves string cheese), he often checks in with you. He's met some dogs at the shelter, and needs slow introductions to other dogs, but might need to be your one and only, so he can get all the love he deserves.
Huey is house trained and crate trained, but would much rather snuggle on the couch with his humans. He also knows sit, and foster Mom is currently teaching him paw.
