Hud Weimaraner Jeffersonville, IN

Hello! My name is Hud and I am a 1-year-old male Weimaraner. I am 72lb according to my last vet visit. I came from a very questionable life before arriving at my foster home. I love everyone I meet and love belly scratches and ear scratches. I had really bad skin allergies when I first met my foster Dad. My ears were bloody and I itched and itched and was in a lot of pain. I was scared of every little noise I heard. Foster Dad taught me that noises were just noises and it wasn’t something coming to get me. He changed my food and the doctor gave me medicine that has made me feel and look like a brand new boy! He also bought me toys which I never seemed to have had much of before. He taught me how much fun fetch can be. And how good “bones” are as treats. I don’t like to share my toys or my bones and like to be left alone or it makes me grumpy. But foster Dad is slowly making me realize nothing is out to get me and I am getting much better with it. I go to doggie daycare every day instead of having to be stuck at work with my foster Dad. It’s one of my favorite places to go now. I get to play with all my "girlfriends" I have made and get lots of love from all of the humans that work there. I am a big star there for being such a good boy! Foster Dad has also started taking me to this fun training center where they tell me I will be working on my fear with certain things and get to learn cool commands and obstacle courses! I am a low maintenance boy. And foster Dad tells me I’m really low energy for my breed. He makes fun of me for being what he calls “Velcro”. He says it’s like I’m attached to him at the hip. I really love following him everywhere and being with him at all times. I like laying on him to chew on my favorite ball, and when I don’t have my ball I like to spend the day taking long naps and relaxing. I really love car rides. Foster Dad makes fun of me during car rides too because he says I sit and act like a perfect human in the car. I just sit like everyone else does! I am looking for a home where I can spend lots of time with my humans and enjoy playing with my favorite toys and taking good naps. I would do best in a home without small children and may be better off as an only dog or only male dog. I hope I can be the right fit for you!
