Meet Huckleberry

Hi there! I’m Huckleberry, but I go by Baby Huck. I weigh in at about 50 pounds, and I’m growing fast! Am I not the cutest purebred chocolate puppy you have ever seen?

I love to play with my foster siblings! There’s another puppy in my house and we get along great! In fact, there are lots of dogs in my foster house and I love them all! I would love to keep learn from another pup in your house too. I also love to be outside. Every time the door opens I run outside to play. I like to chase and chew on balls too. I’m learning that cuddles are a good thing and I like bones and ropes to chew on while I'm on your lap.

Now that I have your attention, my foster mom says I need to fill you in on my special needs. At some point I was exposed to distemper and that has made me a little different. I don’t see well. I can see shapes, movement, and shadows and I get around just fine in my house and yard. I should go to a home with a physical fence to make sure I stay safe while I run off my puppy energy!

My foster mom doesn’t think my nose works right either. I think it’s super cute, what could be wrong with it? I have a hard time finding treats and spread my food out all over the floor. Don’t worry, I always find it all! Did I mention I love treats? You might need to protect your fingers from my teeth, but I still love them! Because I have bad aim with my eyes and nose, I need to go to a home without young kids around. I am learning to control my puppy biting but it is a work in progress that you will have to continue with me.

I have spent the last few months gaining weight, learning not to chew on things, and just being a puppy! My fosters say I’ve come a long way in the last 4 months. I have been through lots of tests and everything has come back clear, so I really need special parents who are willing to work with a silly, fun, partly blind puppy. Are you my new forever family?
