Hitchcock's story is a bit of a mystery. He was picked up on County Farm Road in Gulfport on October 10, 2024, by Harrison County Animal Control, wandering without a collar or tags. A scan revealed he had a microchip, but unfortunately, it had never been registered. Despite efforts to trace his owner, no one has come forward, and Hitchcock has been waiting at the Humane Society of South Mississippi ever since.

At around 4 years old, Hitchcock gives every sign of having come from a loving home. Somehow, he lost his way, but he hasn't lost his gentle heart. From the moment you meet him, you'll see he's a true sweetheart-a sucker for belly rubs and eager to show off his impeccable manners. He knows "sit" and "lay down," and if you have a ball to throw, Hitchcock is ready to play fetch until your arm gives out.

This boy is as gentle as they come, making him a great fit for families with children or anyone looking for a loyal, loving companion. Hitchcock might not be the size of a lap dog, but his soft and sweet demeanor makes him perfect for cuddles.
