Hiro is a lovable 3-year-old mixed breed with a heart of gold. Despite a challenging start in life, he's looking for a forever home that can provide him with the love, patience, and understanding he deserves.
Hiro had a rough beginning, having been sold on Craigslist as a puppy. Thankfully on of our rescue colleagues was able to jump in and purchase him for Best Friend. He clearly experienced some difficult situations that have left him with a tendency towards anxiety, which requires him to be on medication. Despite these challenges, he has shown immense resilience and a capacity for love.
This sweet boy is incredibly affectionate and enjoys cuddling up with his humans. He's a bit timid at first, but once he warms up to you, he'll be your most loyal companion. He thrives on routine and a calm environment, as loud noises and unfamiliar situations tend to make him nervous. With the right approach, patience, and consistent care, Hiro can blossom into a confident and happy pup.
Due to his anxiety, Hiro requires a home that can provide him with a stable and tranquil environment. He is currently on medication, which helps manage his anxiety, and it's important that his new family continues this treatment under the guidance of a qualified veterinarian. Additionally, he may need some extra time and attention during his adjustment period to feel safe and secure in his new surroundings.
A household with no other pets or young children would be best. A patient and compassionate family who can commit to his ongoing care and provide him with a stable routine would be perfect for him.
