Henry Australian Cattle Dog / Blue Heeler Mabank, TX

Henry is a high-energy, athletic boy. He likes people and is friendly to other friendly dogs. Once he’s had exercise, he settles well in the house and knows how to chill out when his foster parents are busy.
 
He has many skills: Walks nicely on leash, knows basic commands (sit, down, here, and shake), house trained, crate trained and sleeps quietly in his crate overnight. Being food motivated helps! He’s also toy driven.
 
For Henry, we’re looking for an experienced and patient adopter who has heeler experience and dog training experience. He has really excelled in his training and would benefit from someone who will continue down that path and expose him to more things. He’ll do well in an active but quiet home without cats and kids. He’s not the type of dog you’d take to a dog park, but he will be a wonderful, smart, active companion for years to come.
 
He's almost 2 years old, weighs 34 pounds, and has a docked tail. He’s neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Henry tested negative for heartworms and is taking heartworm prevention.
