Meet Henry
This sweet boy! What can we say? Henry came from a hoarding property in February. He had severe mange and his foot had been cut off and the bone was exposed (more than likely by a trap). See his before pics of his sad, broken body. Henry had to have his leg amputated and his skin healed but his emotional scars ran deep. He was at the rescue center for months and was shut down. The rescue actually contemplated euthanasia because he seemed like he would never come out of his shell.
He went to a foster home and at first, he wouldn’t leave his crate and had to be carried outside. After a few days, he would willingly follow me at a safe distance. Now Henry is always close by, although still somewhat timid. He doesn’t have an aggressive bone in his body and does great with other cats and dogs. In fact, having at least one other dog in his home is a must. He is more timid of men than women so ideally, his main caretaker would be a woman. Henry follows the pack wherever they go, and he is the easiest dog in the world. Henry’s favorite things to do are to chill inside and play outside with the other dogs. He loves hugs and kisses.
Henry’s adopters will have to be very patient, but the outcome is going to be amazing. It’s like watching the sun shine after the rain. Everyday, more and more of his adorable personality comes out. He loves baby talk and wags his tail like crazy - especially when I come home. I know the perfect home is out there for this amazing guy. He has so much love to give.
He has been completely vetted and while Henry is a tri-pod, he gets around great. He is a healthy boy now!
