Meet Helena
Helena was seen running in a cul-de-sac on 3 legs in Hillsborough County after Hurricane Helene. One of our fosters alerted animal control, and they came and got her immediately. This poor girl had a dislocated hip and fresh scars, along with puncture marks on her belly.
She is scheduled for orthopedic surgery at the end of the month, and then she will be ready to move into her forever home. She will need to be on strict cage rest following her surgery, but she is expected to make a full recovery.
Helena is very cat friendly and dog friendly, and she is estimated to be about 8 months old. We expect her to be under 40 lbs full grown.
