Heidi Shepherd Mix Katy, TX

Heidi was turned over to the Animal Shelter on May 10, 2023. A Citizen caught her and turned her in after she kept making appearances at his house. Heidi is a very playful girl and is having a great time at the shelter with all of her new friends.

Heidi loves to play outside with her fellow kennel pals. But she loves when she interacts the most with the Volunteers. Heidi loves affection and loves to give it right back! She especially loves to cuddle next to you.

Whenever I visit her she gets so excited, she immediately lays down and gets in between my legs so I am holding her. It’s just the sweetest thing. She loves belly and chest rubs too.

Heidi walks well on a leash. She is a calm walker. She doesn’t react when she sees an unfamiliar dog. At our last adoption event, Heidi waited patiently for people to come up for a visit. She had her two front paws crossed like a lady. She gave licks out to the little fingers that came through the kennel cage too.

Sadly, Heidi didn’t meet her forever owners.

Heidi's ideal home is somewhere that has a yard to run and play with dog toys or another dog companion. Heidi can also be the only dog in the family.
