Heidi is currently in a foster home in Houston, TX and is eligible to transport to an adopter as soon as one is lined up.

Meet Heidi!

Heidi was dumped in a new neighborhood with just a bag of food and a blanket. Neighbors realized her sweet disposition and took her in and asked for our help with finding her a family. Heidi is fully vaccinated, microchipped, spayed and ready to find a family to call her own! Heidi currently weighs 58 pounds and is estimated to be 2 years old.

Heidi is dog friendly, however, she doesn't like when dogs play rough with her. We believe she would do best as the only dog in the home. She has not met any cats yet, so we are unsure how she would react to them.

Heidi is kid friendly! She currently lives with a 6 year old special needs child and is very friendly with her. Heidi has also met a toddler and did really well with her too! She is on the bigger side, so we would suggest a home with older children so she doesn't accidently knock over a small child.

Heidi walks great on a leash! She is calm and does not pull. She will stay right by your side.

Heidi is fully potty trained and crate trained! She hasn't had a single accident in her foster home. She currently stays in her crate while her foster mom is away from the home.

She is great with food, toys and treats. She allows her foster mom and 6 year old child to take everything away from her without any issues. She's highly treat motivated and we think she'd be super easy to train because of this!

We'd say Heidi has a low - moderate energy level. She enjoys going for walks, but is also content playing in the back yard and relaxing on the couch. She is really good about keeping herself entertained with her toys. She'll toss them up in the air and catch them, its the cutest thing!

Here's a little blurb about Heidi from her foster mom: "Heidi is the absolute sweetest girl. She is loving and affectionate and doesn't meet a stranger! She will do anything for a treat! She loves cuddling and her crate. I leave her crate door open and she'll come and go in and out during the day while I'm working from home. She's great about keeping herself occupied with toys and is very low maintenance. She does great with people coming into the house! She doesn't meet a stranger! She just wants kisses and love from them. I cannot stress enough how sweet and affectionate Heidi is. She aims to please and wants nothing more than to cuddle up on the couch with you. She loves her stuffed toys and I can't tell you how cute it is to watch her toss them up in the air to play with them! Heidi will make a great addition to any family!"
