And now a few words from me:
Hi! My name is Heidi, and I have to say that things have certainly improved in my world in a very short time! For the past 4 years, my “purpose” was to make babies, but no more! I’m now in a loving foster home and I’m learning what it’s like to be a dog, not just a baby-making machine! Yay for me! I really like all of the attention I’ve been getting, and snuggling, and scratches, oh, and going for walks on the beach! Now I know what people mean when they say it’s a dog’s life! I’m pretty happy right now, and would be even happier if I could find a home that will love me FOREVER! Do you have a lap that I’d be more than willing to keep warm?
And now a few words from my foster mom:
Heidi came to rescue as a breeder release from Missouri. In a very short time, she’s shown that she’s a happy, but reserved, little girl who just loves getting her back and chin scratched (gently!). She’s awfully bright too – she learned how to go up & down stairs in a day, she’s doing well on her potty training (but not perfect yet), and once she gets started, she walks right beside me on the leash. Heidi gets along with her foster brother & sister dogs, although doesn’t really have much to do with them, except to use them as a stool to get closer to her people! I have heard Heidi bark (actually, yodel!) once – she’s extremely quiet! Heidi walks right in to her crate at bedtime, and patiently waits for me to close the door, where she sleeps quietly for the night. She is a treasure, and will make a fabulous pet for a loving family – if this might be you, submit your application quickly as I don’t think Heidi will be here for long!
