Name: Hawkeye
Nicknames: Hawk, Beefy, Chunky Monkey
Age or Date of Birth: 3 years
Activity Level: Moderate
Things I do in my free time: Tussle with my foster puppy brother, sleep, and lick the little human who lives with me.
Things I know: Sit, Down, and Shake
Things I am learning/currently working on: walking well on a leash, coming when called and not being so annoying to my foster puppy brother.
Who I currently live with (humans and animals): Two adult humans, one teenage human sister, a toddler human brother, and an 8-month-old puppy brother oh and a Betta Fish named Snowball!
How I do with kids: I am gentle but sometimes forget how big I am and kids toys look like so much fun so I need reminders to leave them alone.
How I do with dogs: a bit too in their face but does well overall. MPBR always suggests having supervision when it comes to dogs playing with one another (or especially with children), Hawkeye will need help with social queues until he understands when the other dog has had enough.
How I do with cats: no idea
My current size: big fella
How I do in my kennel: I walk right in when you say “in your kennel” and am quiet for the most part but sometimes I moo like a cow if I think I have been in my crate too long!
How I do in car rides: I am a great road trip buddy!
Am I house trained?: Yes
Additional Info from foster: Hawkeye is pretty close to the perfect foster dog!! He listens so well and even when he is annoying his foster puppy brother he will let up when you tell him “no”, at least for a little while. He isn’t much of a snuggler because he has a hard time settling down but when he finally settles down, he is a great companion! He would benefit by having a walk every day. He enjoys time in the backyard and enjoys running the fence with our neighbor dogs.
