SATURDAY, APRIL 27 from 12 - 3PM: Dog Adoption Event at OLATHE PETSMART at 119th & Strang Line with volunteers from Heart of America Humane Society. We’ll have several dogs there looking for homes!
SATURDAY, APRIL 27 from 12 - 3PM: Adoption Event & Fundraiser at THE 403 CLUB, a pinball bar located at 614 Reynolds Ave, Kansas City KS. More info: https://www.facebook.com/events/959604449008617
WEEKEND SHELTER HOURS:
SATURDAY & SUNDAY, APRIL 27 & 28: OPEN 10AM - 3PM — NO APPOINTMENT NECESSARY!
HASH BROWNS is an adorable Pit Bull mix! He's a year old and he weighs 60 lbs. Hash Browns is very friendly and he's lots of fun! He's playful and full of joy. He loves treats. Hash Browns is good with other dogs. He does need a home without cats. He's easy to walk and loves to go for long walks. He rides nicely in the car. He is crate trained and house trained. He's affectionate and loves people. He is truly a wonderful companion and we can't believe he hasn't been adopted yet. He's such a good boy!!!
Sadly, HASH BROWNS tested positive for heartworms. But please don’t let this scare you away! We just need to get him into a home during his treatment. The cost for the heartworm treatment is completely covered. We can provide you with more info about his heartworm treatment if you are interested in adopting or fostering him (we’d love to find him a foster home!). Once his treatment plan is completed, Hash Browns will be able to live a normal healthy life with no restrictions!
ADOPTING A PET
We are open for meet and greet adoptions at our shelter on weekends. No appointment is necessary for weekend adoptions. Our weekend hours vary and we also have satellite adoption events every weekend. We are also open Monday through Friday by appointment. Please contact us by phone at 913-321-1445 or by email at petadoptions@kckpd.org to schedule your appointment during weekdays.
If you have a dog or children we ask that you bring them with you to meet our dogs to make sure it is a good match.
Our dogs have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and tested for heartworms (if 7 months or older).
