4-5yr old JRT/Pug mix

This little guy is Harley, a 4-5 yo Jack Russell/Pug mix. Don't be fooled though by those innocent eyes and cute ear mismatch, he is a jokester. He likes to think he's a 'big dog' but still cons his foster mom into picking him up. She thinks Harley could walk forever! He loves sniffing all the neighbourhood smells. He is learning to walk with a harness and has settled well to wearing it. He has a minor vision issue so he needs slow introductions to most things. He prefers the company of female dogs and would probably do well with a spayed female canine companion to help him learn the ropes. He, loves to run, and play, and explore with his people. He is still very active for his age. He seems to do well with men and older children, since he does forget sometimes when he is happy and jumps up, but is working on that. He is very food motivated and takes direction quickly with a few treats. He has his crate for his comfort spot but prefers to be with you. He loves to talk and enjoys if you have a conversation with him. He would do well with someone who works from home or is able to check in on him regularly. He thrives on routine and rides very well in the car if you want help with errands. He has been vet checked, vaccinated, microchipped, treated with flea/tick prevention and will be neutered. 





The adoption fee is $600 and includes spay/neuter (dogs over 6 months), vaccines, heartworm test (dogs over 6 months), deworming, Flea and tick prevention and microchip. Please visit www.paws-united.com to fill out an application.
**For puppies under 6 months a $200 spay/neuter rebate will be given with proof of spay/neuter certificate signed by a vet, if they have not been done prior to adoption.**
**Please note we DO NOT adopt our dogs as outdoor/farm dogs. These dogs are coming to us as stray, roaming or dogs that have lived a life tied to a chain. Our goal is to bring them in the house off the chain and give them a pampered indoor dogs lifestyle. Unless otherwise stated we will not even consider a home that has intentions of leaving our dogs outdoors or tied to a chain**
***We do require every applicant to provide a vet reference and we do follow up with your vet. If you do not currently have a vet as you have no pets, we strongly encourage you to do your research and contact vets to make sure they are accepting new patients. You must have a vet in place before bringing a new dog home. You will be required to give your vet permission to release information to us, we also require two personal references as well that will be contacted. We have policy and procedure in place while screening homes. If a family refuses any step in the process they will not qualify for adoption. We are not currently doing adoptions across the boarder.***
