SATURDAY, MARCH 1, from 12-3PM: PUPPY PALOOZA ADOPTION EVENT at the MERRIAM PETSMART located at 5810 Antioch Rd, Merriam, KS 66202. Come meet all the puppies waiting for their forever families, and let us help you find a new family member.

Who doesn’t love a big affectionate hunk?! We would like to introduce you to HANK!! He is 2 years old and he weighs 80 lbs.This boy is absolutely the sweetest guy you’ll meet! He may be large, but that doesn’t stop him from trying to fit on your lap. Hank also loves to go for walks, he loves to explore with his person. Hank is very people and dog friendly!! He would love to have a family of his very own.
Sadly, HANK tested positive for heartworms. But please don’t let this scare you away! We just need to get him into a home during his treatment. The cost for the heartworm treatment is completely covered. We can provide you with more info about his heartworm treatment if you are interested in adopting or fostering him (we’d love to find him a foster home!). Once his treatment plan is completed, Hank will be able to live a normal healthy life with no restrictions!
ADOPTING A PET
We are open for meet and greet adoptions at our shelter on weekends. No appointment is necessary for weekend adoptions. Our weekend hours vary and we also have satellite adoption events every weekend. We are also open Monday through Friday by appointment. Please contact us by phone at 913-321-1445 or by email at petadoptions@kckpd.org to schedule your appointment during weekdays.
If you have a dog or children we ask that you bring them with you to meet our dogs to make sure it is a good match.
Our dogs have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and tested for heartworms (if 7 months or older).
