-----------------------------------------------
Meet Hana (means flower in Japanese)
A Formosan Mountain Dog cross girl.

She’s approximately 7-8 months old (as of OCT-2024), with some puppy energy and lots of playfulness! This sweet girl is ready to bloom some and she’s waiting for her furever home!

Little "Hana" is very smart, she learns new trick very fast.

" Hana" has mild separation anxiety .
When leave her home alone by herself, will whinnying and crying for a bit .
but if has another doggy companion , she is fine .
New family will need to deal with this issue .

Since she is a little shy in nature,
it takes sometimes to have her open up to you and trust you completely. However, when she’s in love with you and trusting you,
she follows you well.

Her recall is pretty good and she usually stays near you.

When she’s at home with no one watching,
she loves to take out all the toys and play with each one of them!

She also likes to watch TV, especially the one that has little critters or animals!

"Hana" is crated trained .At foster home, she sleeps in her crate where she feels comfort and safe.
She loves her own little space, but she loves to stay with you even more over the night.

She should be able to stay at home by herself,
but it will take some time at first for her to get used to the new environment. Once she feels safe in the new home, she can stay by herself.
You need to make sure she has her toys to accompany her,
give her access to water, and pee pad in place.

Right now, the foster mom walks her 4 times a day.
She is very good on leash; she can walk right beside you with no issue.
She is pretty good doing her business outdoor.
However, if you need to leave for a long time, make sure you have pee pads ready for her. She knows where to do her business if it’s indoor.

Now the foster mom is brushing teeth daily and she doesn't mind at all.
We do hope this routine can be continued so she can have her healthy little teeth back.

She has no issue with other dogs, she is very playful and loves to invite play with other dogs. Her energy level is about medium, though she loves to run, a nice good long walk also can satisfy her.

Her current diet is home cooked food, and kibble is only given sometimes.

At the moment no major behavior issue.

She sometimes steals things out of curiosity, which is normal for puppies.
New owner will need to monitor and make sure she doesn’t pick up anything dangerous.

She is curious about small kids but is scared when kids start running or screaming. New owner needs to guide her, slow her down, and show her there is no need to be afraid calmly.
