Meet Haley: Your Future Adventure Buddy!
Say hello to Haley, a delightful 2-year-old Shepherd mix weighing in at a perfect 40 lbs (as of 10/24/24). This sweet girl’s journey began when she showed up on the doorstep of a kind couple, and it wasn’t long before she found her way into our rescue care—where we discovered she was pregnant! After being a devoted mother to her adorable pups (born on 10/27/23), Haley is now ready to find her forever family! She has been waiting for her family to find her since April 2024. How is that possible?
Haley’s foster parent shares, “Haley was a wonderful mother to her puppies, but now it’s her turn for a great new life. She’s a super sweet, happy, and well-natured girl who loves everyone she meets! Her playful spirit makes her an excellent candidate for hiking, running, or even agility training with a little coaching! Haley adores kids and gets along so well with other dogs. However, she sees cats as potential playmates, so a home without them would be ideal.”
Although her photos might make her appear larger, Haley is just 40 pounds—a fantastic size for snuggling up after a day of adventure! She’s eager to find a loving family or companion who will appreciate her joyful nature and share in all of life’s adventures. She walks well on a leash so if you’re looking for a loyal sidekick to explore the world with, Haley is ready to meet you and share life with you!
All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

PLEASE READ: If a dog is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted. To learn more about our *shelterless* rescue, adoption fees, and procedures, review the list of Frequently Asked Questions on our website at WWW.GDRNE.COM.
