@ " Hako "s story :

" Hako " was rescued from a puppy mill in Taiwan when they wanted to get rid of her . Our rescue took him in and finished all the medical checked up and procedures . Now " Hako " is ready and looking for his forever home .

@ " Hako ",s Personality:

" Hako " is friendly and sweet after warm up but has typical Shiba Inu's personality . He will takes couple days to warm up with new family .
if new people try to grab him , he might turn around and mouthing /bite .
but after he gets to know you , he wont .
He loves dogs and people but when first meet in the first min he might be a bit reserve or barking a bit . But he has no aggressive bone .

New family need to understand that he is a typical drama shiba Inu .
so takes couple days to settle down .

pulling leash when walks .
Loves pets .
Still has puppy personality , low to medium energy .


@ with Dog : Good but barking a bit in beginning and sometimes playing rough .

@ with Kid : Good after warm up. , but prefer NO kids under 12 years old .

@ with cats : OK

@ with New people: OK , but a bit shy in beginning unless has treats .

@ Energy level: Low to Medium/ playful with other puppies .

@ House-training: " Hako " is 90 % house trained, he prefer do his business in the back yard . He needs to goes out at least 4 times a day for his pee break.

@ Chewing issue: NO. but loves chewing bone .

@ Barking: No a barker .Has mild separation anxiety winning when his human leaving the house , but Not a barker .

@ Mild Possessive food with dogs , when he is eating if other dogs nearby his food will growling . So suggest feeding separately if has another dog in same household .

@ " Hako ",s recall is bad so "NO OFF LEASH "

@ Health:

1. " Hako " is up to date vaccination , blood work done , dental cleaning done ,x ray done without hip issue .
Very healthy now .
Adoptive family will receive the medical peppers.

We are looking for a very loving family that fits the following criteria:

1. Due to separation anxiety barking issue so only adopted to a house with fenced yard or a townhouse .


.2. must be an experienced dog owner and prefer has experience with "Shiba Inu "and understand this breed and shedding issue and no allergy issue

3 Prefer the family has another dog . " Hako " loves a doggy companion .
he will doing better in a family has another dog but must be not a dominate one .

4. Prefer a family has no young kids under 12 years old.

5. Can provide high quality dog food

6. Can provide daily exercise, at least one hour / twice a day.
" Hako " still has puppy energy .

7. You are committed to provide a forever loving home to " Willa ".

8. " Hako " loves his human's attention and has so prefer a family that will not leave him alone for long periods during the day ( less than 5 hours ).

9. must be allowed on your couches / bed .

The home check gives you and our volunteers an opportunity to decide if your home and this dog are a good match. We may be doing several home checks to find the best match, and our team of volunteers review all the information acquired in the process to help dogs and families find the best fit for each adoption. We will ask for pictures of your current pets (if any) and your house inside and outside upon receipt of your application.
