He's a regular in the shelter's playgroups and would thrive in a home with canine companions who can keep up with his playful spirit.

Gus is a little more reserved when it comes to people, preferring a small circle of human friends. He's still discovering what life has to offer outside the shelter, but with a slow and gentle approach-and maybe a few tasty treats-he's making great strides in building his confidence.

When the summer sun is shining, Gus enjoys nothing more than a refreshing dip in the water. Whether it's splashing around in a kiddie pool or dipping his paws in a lake, he's all about embracing the fun side of life.

Gus is an all-star dog, and his adoption appointment includes a discussion with the training team, as well as a few enrichment goodies to help get you both off to a good start. Our dogs and puppies go home spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested (7 months and over), and up to date on core vaccines, heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives. Their adoption also includes a free-vet exam at one of our participating veterinarians.
